The 2006 Toyota Highlander remains the same for the new model season, but adds Hybrid vehicles to the mix.

Both hybrid and non-hybrids are available in base and limited editions: the former offering a 208 horsepower V-6 engine, for a total of 268 with the electric motor. A 4 or 6-cylinder is available on non-Hybrid Highlanders.

Some of the standard features on the 2006 Highlander are an anti-skid system, antilock brakes and tire-pressure monitor. Hybrid models have curtain side air bags with front torso-side air bags. Several other options are available for select new models.
