2006 Dodge Charger

Yes, that's an old name on the new 2006 Dodge Charger, as Daimler Chrysler introduces a 4-door sedan companion for its Magnum wagon.

It is essentially the same car, but only available with rear wheel drive. Two 2006 Charger models are offered - a 250 horsepower 3.5-liter V6 labelled "SE" and a 340 hp 5.7-liter Hemi V8 with an "R/T" badge. A five-speed automatic transmission is found on all models.

Some of the standard features on the new Charger include traction control, antilock brakes and an anti-skid system, as well as front side airbags and front/rear head-protecting curtain side airbags.

Optional features on SE and R/T include satellite radio, hands-free wireless system and adjustable pedals. Several performance packages are available on the R/T model.

Some of the strong points of the 2006 Dodge Charger include its handling and maneuvering capabilities, as well as room in the rear and trunk. However fuel economy is not the best in its class, and visibility in the rear is lacking.
